May 1st UPDATE! With rain outs plaguing race tracks across the state for the past 2 weeks, Emily finally had a chance to shine at the Jackson County Speedway season opener. With 6 cars starting in her heat race, she ran away with the win. Emily drew the #2 starting spot which put her on the outside pole position. She dropped back to 5th but fought her way back up to 2nd for 3 laps. The feature would only have two cautions and Emily finished in 4th place by a nose. The new car still has some handling issues and they have a plan in place to remedy them ....Emily still needs to get a better feel for this car but Brian thinks she is well on her way in doing that.
